HIU Welcomes New Director of Development

HIU is thrilled to welcome Margot Early as Director of Development.

Margot has over 25 years of experience in fundraising and advancement, including nearly two decades in higher education. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hartford. Most recently, Margot served as Director of Advancement and Marketing at KNOX, Inc., where she was responsible for overseeing fundraising strategy, donor relations, donor-focused events, and grants. She’s held previous positions at Friends Center for Children, The Amistad Center for Art and Culture, and MetroHartford Alliance.

"I’m excited to join the Hartford International University for Religion and Peace community and to work together in advancing our shared mission," Margot said. "As Director of Development, I look forward to partnering with colleagues, students, alumni, and supporters across HIU."

HIU will benefit from Margo's deep understanding of aligning fundraising to mission, strategy, and organizational goals. She will bring her experience in donor and stakeholder stewardship, grant writing/reporting, digital marketing, and managing annual fund campaigns to the position. She will work closely with President Sherry L. Turner to steward existing donor relationships and cultivate new ones. Margot will be responsible for the daily operations of the development office and will work closely with Liz Ryan, Development Assistant, the Communications team, and others.
