Four Indonesian Professors Visit Hartford Seminary

Hartford Seminary hosted four scholars from the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies this week.
Visiting the Seminary were:
- Siti Syamsiyatun, Ph.D., Director of the Consortium
- Dr. Bernard Adeney-Risakotta, Lecturer at the Center for Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies, Graduate School, Gadjah Mada University
- Dr. Wening Udasmoro, Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of French, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University
- Dicky Sofjan, Ph.D., Lecturer in American Studies at Gadjah Mada University
The professors met with President Heidi Hadsell, faculty, staff and students.
The Consortium offers a Ph.D. Program in Inter-Religious Studies in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Gadjah Mada University, the State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga and Duta Wacana Christian University make up the consortium. It shares space with the Center for Religious and Cross-Cultural Studies on the campus of Gadjah Mada University. Studying there are about 80 graduate students who are Muslim, Christian, Buddhist and Hindu.
