An Interreligious Dialogue: Roots of Peace in the Texts and Traditions of the Abrahamic Religions

In this webinar co-sponsored by the Luke 10 Foundation, Tolou International Institute, and HIU's Macdonald Center, four scholars will examine the roots of peace in the texts and traditions of the Abrahamic religions.

Speakers include:

  • HIU's Dr. Lucinda Mosher, Professor of Interreligious Studies, Director of the MA in Interreligious Studies program, and an affiliate of the Duncan Black Macdonald Center for the Study of Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations.
     
  • Dr. Yehezkel Landau, a dual Israeli-American citizen and interfaith educator, leadership trainer, author, and consultant working to promote Jewish-Christian-Muslim engagement and Israeli-Palestinian peacebuilding for more than 40 years. He taught at HIU for many years, where he was Associate Professor of Interfaith Relations and holder of the Abrahamic Partnerships Chair.
     
  • Mohammad Hossein Mozaffari, Founding Director of the Center for Peace and Dialogue at the University of Religions and Denominations, Qom, Iran. His scholarship connects international law with Islamic Studies with a special focus on Muslim states politics on human rights.
     
  • Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Mohammad Ali Shomali, Founding Director of the Risalat International Institute, which is devoted to Islamic curriculum development and educational training. He has led numerous Islamic educational courses and seminary in over 60 cities across four continents.
