HIU Welcomes New Registrar

HIU is pleased to welcome Gail Syring as the new Registrar.

Gail has over 20 years of experience in academic administration, advising, and student records management. She has a Master of Arts with a focus in Ministry in Everyday Life from HIU and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development, Family Services, and Counseling from the University of Connecticut. Gail is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at the University of Hartford.

She’s currently serving as Visiting Instructor of Academic Strategies at the University of Hartford- Hillyer College. She’s served in other positions at the University of Hartford, including Degree Evaluator & Program Administrator, Assistant Director & Academic Advisor, and Title IX Student Advocate to name a few. In addition, she served as Director of Religious Education for the Unitarian Society of Hartford.

Gail will be a wonderful addition to HIU and will work closely with the enrollment management team and Dean Grant. She has a deep understanding of higher education, a commitment to serve students and values HIU’s mission as an alumna. In addition, she will bring her technical experience, collaborative leadership, and mission-driven commitment to the role.
