Hartford International University has reserved a block of rooms at a nearby hotel (about 10-12 minutes’ drive from campus) for Saturday, April 25, through Monday, April 27. These rooms will be available at a discounted rate until March 25. You can book for one night or both.

If you plan to attend the inauguration and will need a hotel, we encourage you to book a room as soon as possible, even before receiving the formal invitation in the mail. The discounted rate can’t be guaranteed after March 25. You can cancel a reservation up to 3 days before arrival at no charge.

HIU is working to set up a shuttle service that would bring those at the Courtyard by Marriott to HIU’s campus for various events and to the venue for the inauguration in West Hartford as well as back to the hotel. While there are many other hotels in the area, and you are free to book wherever you like, the shuttle service will only be available at this location.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card. This card will be charged in the event of a cancellation, no-show, or deposit when warranted. Group rates are subject to availability. Hotel cancellation policy requires guests to cancel 3 days prior to arrival to avoid a penalty fee of 1 night's room and tax.
