Meet our Reinvigorated Alumni Council

Hartford International University is pleased to announce its reinvigorated Alumni Council, which is set to play a vital role in providing opportunities for alumni to engage, be inspired, and stay connected to their alma mater. It is dedicated to being a resource for all alumni, facilitating professional networking opportunities, and contributing to the university's mission and overall success.

The Alumni Council consists of three original members from the 2018 Council and seven new members, including two current students. The decision to include students is a strategic move aimed at fostering strong bonds between students and the institution, as they are future alumni.

Leading the Alumni Council is Rev. Dr. Sheila Harvey, an alum who earned a Doctor of Ministry in 2007. Dr. Harvey is a full-time pastor of Union Congregational United Church of Christ in West Palm Beach, Florida, with a wealth of experience in ministry and chaplaincy. Her commitment to serving others is evident through her involvement in state and national non-profit boards.

With the Council members' collective efforts and dedication, the Council will chart a course for alumni engagement to foster lifelong connections with future generations of HIU alumni.

As the new school year approaches, the Council is actively participating in student orientation and convocation activities.
