President Joel N. Lohr left on Thursday, Nov. 8, for a 10-day visit to Indonesia and Singapore to visit educational institutions and to meet with Hartford Seminary partners, friends, and alumni. Former Trustee Dr. Alwi Shihab helped shaped the itinerary and facilitate key meetings.

Between Oct. 29 and Nov. 3, 2019, Professor Najib George Awad participated in the conference “Toward Inclusive Societies in the Middle East,” which took place in Cyprus. Professor Awad read a paper on the minorities and the policy of “minoritization” in the context of Syria.
