The Rev. Dr. Donna Schaper Discusses Book on Her Unexpected 'Infatuation' with Pope Francis
May 2, 2017
It all started when the Rev. Dr. Donna Schaper read Pope Francis’s 2015 encyclical on the environment. In it, she saw how much they had in common. Not long after, she began following him with great hope and affection and decided to write about their imagined “affair” in a volume called “I Heart Francis: Letters from the Unlikely Admirer.”

President Hadsell Attends Pope's Address at Peace Conference In Egypt

President Heidi Hadsell, one of the main speakers at a gathering of Muslim leaders and representatives of the World Council of Churches in Egypt, also participated in the Al-Azhar International Peace Conference on April 27 and 28 and was there to attend an address by Pope Francis that was covered by press around the world.

President Heidi Hadsell Addresses Gathering of Muslim Council of Elders and World Council of Churches in Egypt

President Heidi Hadsell was one of the main speakers at a gathering in Cairo, Egypt, of a delegation of the Muslim Council of Elders led by the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, His Eminence Professor Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, and a delegation of the World Council of Churches (WCC) led by Dr. Agnes Abuom, Moderator of the Central Committee of the WCC, and the Rev. Dr. Olav Fykse Tveit, general secretary.
