Finding an Article From a Citation
Sometimes you have a citation for an article, but don't know where to find the actual content of the article. For example, if you have found something in Index Islamicus online, it is probably only a citation, not a full-text item. Your citation should include:
Journal title
Article title
Article author
Journal issue, year, volume
page numbers
Steps to Finding Your Article
Step 1: Search for the journal (source) title in the Library Catalog to see if we own print copies of or electronic access to the journal.
Step 2: If possible, choose the access link labeled: ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials PLUS or Academic Search Premier.
Step 3: If we own only the print version, go downstairs where the journals are shelved in alphabetical order by title.
Step 4: Choose the year, volume, and issue desired.
Step 5: If we do not have the journal/article you need online or in print, you may request it via Interlibrary loan (ILL). A scan of the needed article will be sent directly to your email.
