Dr. Janet Fuller Publishes Book of Interfaith PrayersJune 25, 2024
Janet E. Fuller, Co-Director of MA in Chaplaincy and Faculty Associate, has a new book titled Blessings for Your Students. Resourcing 40 years as a university chaplain, Janet wrote a collection of interfaith prayers that bridge the gap between the diverse spiritual needs of interfaith communities. It is a resource for chaplains to find support for all the essential student struggles, including new beginnings, athletics, loneliness, and the search for hope.

Mary Lahaj '92 Publishes a MemoirJune 13, 2024
Mary Lahaj, MA '92, has published a memoir titled Bird on a Wire. Mary is descended from Lebanese Muslim immigrants who arrived in the U.S. in the early 1900s. Her book covers themes such as inherited faith, self-identity, and assimilation to America.

MAP Alum Creates Podcast on Sexual Identity and GenderMay 20, 2024
Before Lena Vallianatou started her MA in International Peacebuilding, she recounts being unaware of some of her emotions, such as anger and sadness. She learned about trauma in a class and how to recognize it in herself and others. “It was like therapy,” Lena says. Getting that skill inspired her to create a podcast for her capstone project. The podcast raises awareness and educates about trauma around sexual identity and gender.
